Freebies - you either love them or hate them. Personally, I love freebies as there are few things in life that are free. I think that freebies are a fantastic means of providing us, as consumers, the chance to try out a product or service before going out to buy it. Many people seem to have quite a negative opinion of freebies, regarding them to be a load of rubbish and waste of time.

I cannot remember the first freebie I ever got. I have applied for that many and have received so many products in the last five years that it is virtually impossible to identify that first, single freebie! I will admit to having received items I had very little use for (men's aftershave for example) which I promptly gave to my other half. I have received many full sized free makeup samples such as mascara, lipstick, foundation and moisturising creams to name but a few. These are items that are made by very popular brands and cost a lot of money to buy. I have also been lucky to win some of these items by entering free competitions in the U.K.

I would say that at least once a week I am lucky to wake up and find a freebie of some sort sitting on my doormat. It is largely thanks to the freebie sites that I am a member of online, who send me daily emails with links to loads of up to date freebies. From time to time I also get free vouchers or money off coupons that either pays for an item in total or part thereof. I am also a member of many sites where I enter competitions to win a variety of prizes, from beauty items to electronic paraphernalia. I would not consider myself to be an extremely lucky person by any means, but I have won my fair share of prizes throughout the years, that have made for great gifts.

In my opinion, as long as there are freebie sites and sites where you can enter competitions for free, then I sure want to be a part of it! It is such an easy way to get trial samples and in some cases full sized products for totally free! It doesn't cost a penny, only a few minutes of your time to fill in a form, hit the submit button and a freebie or a free prize is on its' way to you! It really doesn't get any easier than that.
