National Medical Marketing Solutions is a scam. I should know because after two months and investing over $1,200 into this business I haven't received a penny. One of the selling features is residual income. I know now for a fact that I can't receive any residual income this year and won't until at least five months after starting the business. I've failed to make any income and believe me I know about failure. I'm an expert at it. I've failed at just about every home-based business you can think of. That's how I developed my "Red Flag System". If a business starts to show some red flags, then you need to get out fast. Let me start at the beginning.
I received call from National Medical Marketing (NMM) asking if I would be interested in starting a business for anywhere from $195 to $495. I would be acting as an advertising affiliate for a health insurance broker and getting paid $50 for every sign up as well as commissions on monthly premiums. Of course I opted for the $195 start-up fee and if I failed it's just $200 bucks right? Well, the red flags started up right away. In fact, I'm surprised that I didn't get out sooner. As usual I wanted to believe that I could succeed at something and I wasn't going to get ripped off again. I remember talking with Herb, the guy who closed me, and telling him I'd be willing to invest up to a thousand dollars to make this thing happen. He told me I really didn't have to invest anything more and after using some free advertising techniques I could possibly earn about $900 my first month. What bullshit!
Then I got my first coach. He told me that using free or low-cost advertising like flyers was a waste of time and encouraged me to get a level one marketing package for $995. I was surprised to discover that he didn't know the commission structure for premium commissions (10%) and that I got paid $50 for every sign up. Both pretty basic facts for a new affiliate. He also said he would earn 10% of everything I earned for being my coach which was nowhere in writing in my original invoice. Then he left the company. A huge red flag!
My new coach, Mr. White also happened to be their general manager so I thought now I'll be in good hands. How wrong I was again! This coach said he would earn any where from 3% up to 24% of my paychecks! What a difference! He also told me not to try to recruit new affiliates because they would be competing with me before I really got established. Actually, I'm glad I followed that advice because I would hate to make money ($198 for each recruit) off of other people who got ripped off too and have to deal with their complaints. I wanted to get my business off to a roaring start so I came up with the $995 and since then (over a month ago) Mr. White hasn't tried to contact me. I did call him once and asked him how things were going and he said he was busy "Beta Testing" and "Registering". Since then I've emailed him and called leaving messages. He's never answered my emails or returned my phone calls. One thing I was supposed to get was fifteen keywords for my website. The site actually has twenty fields for keywords so after I got tired of waiting I did some keyword research and entered my own twenty best choices. Mr. White has made no changes to those keywords in over a month. I kept bugging him for some free or inexpensive advertising methods until he finally said he'd have the receptionist, Jessica, send a list to me right away. A few days later I called Jessica to find out why I hadn't received them yet. There was an awkward silence on the other line as it became apparent that she had to idea what I was talking about!
A few other gems for your consideration. They have weekly tele-seminars on thursday evening. If you can't attend them it's no problem because they are recorded and archived so you can listen to them at your leisure. I listened to a few of the more recent ones until it seemed like the information was about the same every time and then I realized that no new seminars had been recorded since July! The invoice I signed and returned for my level one advertising package has me stating that I've already received the products even though I hadn't received any of them in reality. I was supposed to get fifteen keywords (still waiting on those), 300 search engine submissions, email blasts, and 15,000 guaranteed visitors. I have no idea of many search engines my website has been submitted to, no idea how many email blasts have gone out, and to date I've had less than 50 visitors to my website in two months, an average of less than one per day. Even if I was getting 1,000 visitors every month it would take until the end of next year for my contract to be fulfilled. At the current rate it would take 40 years for my 15,000th visitor to arrive and I'd be 99 years old! I don't want to wait that long. Needless to say I don't have any sign ups.
I remember the last words Herb spoke to me when I asked him about what I could be doing to make this business a success. I was eager to get started and wanted to distribute flyers, business cards, submit free classified ads, and even write articles to help advertise the business. I asked him what he wanted me to do. He said a coach would be in touch with me soon and to just think about what I was going to do with all the money. What money Herb? Do yourself a favor. If National Medical Marketing comes calling, don't answer!
